Summer Social nights at the Victory Club

Over the Summer we invite all dancers to come along to our summer social evenings at the Victory Club in cheltenham where we have lots of exciting evenings lined up for you.  The classes listed below will be for all levels and will generally be for the first hour of the evening, followed by social dancing.  Come and join us, relax and chill and have fun this summer.

Tuesday 26th July -

Louise Jazz Steps. - Louise is returning to to teach one of her popular, easy and fun jazz steps routines, which are excellent for dancers as they contain footwork elements of Lindy and Balboa.  

Tuesday 2nd August -

Nicky and Jim Partner Charleston - Nicky and Jim are two of our favourite teachers from Nailsworth.  They are making a special return appearance to teach 1920's partner Charleston.  This is a lovely dance from the same roots as Balboa and Lindyhop.  Followed by social dancing.

Tuesday 9th August -

Social dance night with guest DJ "Phil" who has some fabulous dance tunes.  Dancing focused on Balboa, with some swing tunes thrown in.

Tuesday 16th August -

The hall is not free on Tuesday so instead we have a dance planned for this Saturday at the Reddings.

Saturday 20th August -

The Remi Harris Trio Dance at the Reddings.  A very young trio in their early 20's who are amazingly talented.  Style of music is Django and gypsy Swing and other 30's swing tunes.  Listen to them on this attached link.  "Remi Harris Trio"

Tuesday 23rd August

Tango Janet (Tango Cheltenham) will teach Tango for Balboa Dancers - As we all know tango is closely linked and moves are readily interchangeable. Really looking forward to this one.

Tuesday 30th August

Social Dance night - Guest DJ's playing more great tunes with a focus on Balboa with some swing tunes.

Tuesday 6th September

Normal Classes start again this week Tuesdays and Thursdays

The Victory Club, Burlington House, Lypiatt Road Cheltenham GL50 2QJ - (At the top end of Montpellier)
Time - Start at 8:00 till 10:15 ish
Lovely dance floor with a nice social area for a chat.
Bar with very good prices, Car parking outside or next door.  Fully air conditioned if it gets warm.
Price £5 all evening.
